Regional Sales Manager - Northeast US


The ideal candidate for the Regional Sales Manager will be a hands-on professional who will be expected to offer ideas and suggestions on improving the work processes to improve the utilization of resources and to contribute to the success of the team by achieving the overall plant goals set forth in the operation and be rewarded financially for doing so through a quarterly employee bonus. 

Duties include (but are not limited to) the following:


Grow sales within a defined geographic region by providing exceptional customer care to both new and current customers. 


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Working together with the VP of Sales in executing the company’s revenue and profitability strategy through the support of selling engineered fastening solutions to both current and prospective customers within a defined geographic region
  • Manage the sales cycle from design through to the issuance of either discrete purchase orders or the implementation of long term supply contracts.
  • Management of the services provided and the relationship with both key customer and internal contacts to ensure we deliver on the promise of “Delivering Exceptional Customer Care”
  • Support and manage all potential sales channels within the defined geography including but not limited to Distributors, Wholesalers and OEMs direct
  • Work with the VP of Sales to develop and execute a pricing policy that will support the company’s direct margin goals
  • Grow sales through a multitude of approaches including Share of Wallet Increase, Cross Selling and new customer acquisition
  • Develop and maintain a strong selling team orientation across all companies, divisions and customers served
  • Strict adherence to country laws and local market laws and practices up to and including employee laws and regulations
  • Work with all levels of functions within both our customers and internal company. In essence have the ability to communicate effectively to employees on the production line through to C-level executives
  • Maintain and keep updated a book of Key Account Plans. These plans, along with listing important information about the account, highlight the strategies to be deployed to grow sales and strengthen the relationship with the customer.

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Educational Requirements:  4-year technical or business degree, MBA preferred. Employees with long term relevant industry experience will also be given equal consideration
  • Language:  Fluent and well-spoken with excellent writing skills in English, multilingual preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of sales, customer service or application engineering experience
  • A proven track record of growing sales and customer/business development
  • Excellent computer systems skills which include:
  • MS-Office:  Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • ERP and CRM module preferred
  • Thorough understanding of sales and marketing practices and strategies for securing and growing market share
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong focus on ‘Doing it right’
  • High passion, energy, drive, and intelligence
  • High levels of initiative and curiosity
  • Strong sense of urgency

Essential Job Functions:

Operate computer and keyboard; able to travel a minimum of 80% of the time; able to use phone; sit for long periods; communicate using speech, hearing and vision skills.
